OUR MISSION
Friends of the Clarion Free Library is a member supported nonprofit organization that advocates, fundraises and provides support for the Clarion Free Library
Meetings
The Executive Committee meets the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Clarion Free Library, at the conference table in the stacks. These meetings are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.
Book Cellar & Book Donations
The Friends of the Clarion Free Library oversee the Book Cellar, the used books and more store, in the lower level of the Clarion Free Library. The Friends also hold at least two used book sales annually. Proceeds from these book sales directly benefit the Clarion Free Library. We accept donations of gently used books throughout the year to facilitate these fundraisers. We cannot accept textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books, magazines or damaged books. We reserve the right to discard any unusable donations. Books may be dropped off at the front desk of the library any time during operating hours.
Upcoming Events:

The Friends host a monthly book club referred to as the “The Clarion River Readers”. The club meets the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm, in the lower level of the library.
Please check out their Facebook page for more information.

Join the Friends of the Clarion Free Library for a fun and relaxed evening of books, brews, and community at Mechanistic Brewing Co. in Clarion this coming Saturday, August 1st. We’re hosting our first ever book swap. Here’s how it works:
Bring one or more gently used books to swap.
Browse the selection and take home a different book.
Meet fellow readers, share recommendations, and connect with your local book-loving community.
Mechanistic Brewing Co. will feature a love handle for the evening, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Clarion Free Library. It’s a great way to support our library while enjoying a night out!
We can’t wait to see what everyone brings to share!
